 The cheese factory EGAGROS is a standard cheese family unit founded by the family of Koskina. In 2008 work began on the construction of the building in which was later accomodated the cheese dairy. The facilities are located in Rethymno Latzima outside the village of Prinos in Rethymno, in owner's area. The decision to set up such an operation was taken considering the increased needs of the region. The Dairy began operation in March 2012 and produces traditional Cretan cheeses under the brand name "EGAGROS" title inspired by the wild goat found only in parts of Crete. The traditional milk products manufactured in our Cheese is exclusively from fresh sheep and goat milk. The milk used for the production of our products comes from selected pens of mountain Psiloritis and the wider region, from free-range flocks. Sheep's and goat's milk, after editing and final form in cheese from us, retains all the nutrients. We provide all the required standards of hygiene, while common secret of the flavour and the quality of our products is the selection of the best raw materials and strict quality control at every stage. As for the machinery we use for processing and standardization, the latest technology. Our goal is, our customers enjoy our products at the best price without compromising on quality.
